Currently on offer for £96.40 at ASDA Direct, this Red Kite twin pushchair looks like a great bargain stroller, but can it really offer everything you need from a double pushchair for under £100? Let’s take a look and find out.
The first thing you notice about this pushchair is how smart it looks, which is really down to some clever colour choices that will make it look just as modern in five years time as it does today.
The next thing is the seating. For me the seating is where some of the savings have been made, because whilst the seats do recline independently and can be used from birth, they don’t have the additional padding more expensive seats have, or the width that your babies are going to want and need when they become toddlers.
It’s also important to think about how easy it’s going to be for you to push, and the reality is if you’re thinking of going off-road with this you’re going to struggle. The wheels on this pushchair are small and with 12 to control you’re going to be wanting to stick to the pavements, and crossing your fingers that they’re aren’t any bumps.
I know I sound pessimistic about it, and you may be reading this and thinking it’s all you can afford. If it is and you’re looking at it for newborns and not toddler then you’re probably going to be alright.
For me the real problem with this Red Kit pushchair is when your kids hit the toddler age, because this is the point when they’re most likely to find the seats uncomfortable, abnd you’re most likely going to struggle to push with the increased weight..
